Managing Rapid Asset Evolution

Canto’s Carsten Hesse was interviewed for this new DAM article written by Digital Publishing Solutions magazine and as we read the finished piece it resonated with us since the main messages were the very reasons we developed our recently introduced Canto Integration Platform.

The article discusses the drivers of speed, fast availability of data, mobile-compatible content and rapid change that have spurred the need for new business models in digital publishing. Publishers can no longer remain in their print comfort zone but must deliver content on multiple platforms. However this issue is not limited to publishing: it presents itself across many other industries as technology and fiercely competitive markets force organizations to develop business strategies in unknown waters.

We believe that the more communication tools, hardware, software and telecommunications systems have evolved, the more Digital Asset Management (DAM) has become a vital resource not only for communication, but streamlined content management — and this applies no matter what business you are in. It all comes down to this. The automation of business and production processes through the adoption of increasingly functional and sophisticated tools of workflow automation is a tremendous competitive advantage.

We held a webinar recently called Taking DAM to the Next Level to talk about these issues and how Canto Integration Platform can help make organizations more nimble and reduce production time. It’s useful if you’re interested in how integration can increase efficiencies.

Canto Integration Platform integrates with WordPress and SharePoint while our partners have solutions for WoodWing, web2print and others. What is your strategy for integration? Have you got started? Or better yet, are you seeing results? We would be very interested in hearing from you.
