As I’m sure you know, this year’s annual Henry Stewart DAM Europe event took place on June 25th and 26th in London, UK. We took a whirlwind trip to London to catch up on current trends, hear the latest news and dig into some interesting and complex DAM use cases.
Not surprisingly metadata, social media, video and scalability were some of the hot topics covered in expert presentations and discussion panels.
We were impressed with the great speakers from the retail, broadcast, publishing, cultural heritage and manufacturing sectors. We heard particularly interesting case studies from BBC Worldwide, the British Museum, Philips Lighting and Hachette UK, which revealed once again how diverse different DAM use cases can be.
During the event we had the chance to talk to some industry analysts and DAM experts and update everyone on the latest Cumulus news, which is of course that version 8.6 made its debut yesterday. As an aside, Mark Davey, Managing Director at Business Technologist and founder of the DAM Foundation, shared with us that Cumulus was his first DAM solution!
When we talked to Patricia Connelly, the CEO of Henry Stewart Events she told us that this year’s event exceeded all their expectations. She said “the sessions were practical, detailed and informative and we had a great audience of DAM users, consultants, analysts and solution providers.” We’d have to agree. Thanks to the team at Henry Stewart Events as well as all speakers and participants for a very interesting event. More information can be found at Henry Stewart DAM Europe 2012.
