Spanish joins English, German, French, Japanese and Korean as native languages for the Cumulus Client.
Managing digital assets in Spain, Mexico, South America and many other regions of the world just got a whole lot easier for Spanish speakers, because Canto now offers a Spanish version of Cumulus.
Canto owes a great big gracias to longtime partner in Barcelona, Microgestió, who performed the localization.
“Our goal for the Spanish edition of Cumulus was a quality localization that native speakers found comfortable to use,” explained Canto CEO Ulrich Knocke. “Microgestió helped ensure we could deliver that.”
From Microgestió’s point of view, the effort was an investment they expect to benefit their bottom line.
“No digital asset management system is better known in Spain than Cumulus,” claims Félix Tolleson, marketing & sales director for Barcelona’s Microgestió. “But a Spanish edition will make it even easier for us to sell Cumulus, because it will reduce the training required for our customers and it shows Canto’s commitment to this market.”
The editing and searching of Spanish metadata has long been one of the more than 13 languages Cumulus supports for metadata. The new edition will mark the first time the Cumulus user interface itself has been localized for Spanish.
The Spanish edition of Cumulus is available at no additional charge to all customers on software maintenance agreements.
