We know that companies have very limited resources to import metadata. So what’s better than Lutz Heymann’s Cumulus Importer 8.6 that automatically ingests metadata?
It’s a common story: You need a digital asset management (DAM) system but are having a hard time convincing “the people who write the checks” to put money in the budget for it. You’ve tried to make your case by describing the return on investment (ROI) that a DAM system offers, but found that the ROI of DAM is difficult to fully measure and articulate.
It’s much faster and easier to search for a file extension like .jpg than to query by file format such as “JPEG image.” Often you know your file extension rather than the exact wording of it’s full file format which might include version numbers, etc. Here’s how you can create a field containing the extension of a file in Cumulus.
